Hill House
History
Hill House is a Christian Centre based around an 18th century house, later used to house evacuees during WWII before being used as a girls’ school. In the 1970’s, the site was bought by a group of Christians from the Bristol area who restored it to use as a location for Christian summer camps and residential stays.
The site
While retaining the original house, the Hill House site today has been updated to add a modern Annexe. The Annexe provides extra sleeping accommodation, while the Main House provides this as well as daytime facilities such as meeting rooms, large kitchen and dining room and recreational areas such as a sports court and games room.
Hill House is located near Otterhampton, Bridgwater, and the site postcode is TA5 2PT. Some pictures of the site are shown here:

Kingfisher’s November study weekend
Held at Hill House, Kingfisher’s study weekend provides a pleasant and safe environment where young people, keen to develop in their Christian faith, can enjoy time together and meet new people. There are four Bible study sessions throughout the weekend, with free time in between and usually a trip off-site to a nearby town on the Saturday as well as to nearby local churches on Sunday morning.
We try to keep costs to a minimum, adding as little as necessary to the price of the site itself. The per-person cost is in the order of £65 for a place in the Main House, or in the order of £80 for an en-suite room in the Annexe.
The weekend runs from Friday evening (arrival from around 6:30pm) to Sunday afternoon (departing around 4pm).
The minimum age for attending is 13 (school year 9) with no upper age limit.
