As a Trust we recognise the need to provide a safe and caring environment for children, young people and adults. We acknowledge that children, young people and adults can be the victims of abuse and neglect. We have therefore adopted procedures in accordance with statutory guidance, and are committed to build constructive links with statutory and voluntary agencies involved in safeguarding.
Kingfisher Christian Trust is committed to working with children/adults with care and support needs, in order to present to them the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage them in personal discipleship to Jesus Christ through the teaching of Christian principles.
Kingfisher maintains a current Safeguarding policy (from which the above statements are extracted). The policy and practice guidelines it includes, are based on the ten Safe and Secure safeguarding standards published by “thirtyone:eight” (an independent Christian safeguarding charity).
